Board Member Mimi Boniel is encouraging Boholanos to renew or open their PhilHealth accounts to take advantage of the Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) program.
In a public statement released yesterday, Boniel emphasized that the provincial government is committed to serving all Boholanos without discrimination.
“Our service aims to help those in need as public servants,” Boniel stated. “The MAIFIP program provides funds directly to hospitals, covering hospital bills, laboratory tests, prescribed medications, and doctor’s professional fees.”
According to Boniel, residents seeking assistance through the program need to present the patient’s final billing statement and valid identification cards for both the patient and the person processing the request.
Boniel invited constituents to visit any Board Member’s office to process their applications, assuring that these services are meant to help people in need rather than for business purposes.
The Board Member’s office noted that having an active PhilHealth account is crucial for accessing these benefits, especially during medical emergencies.
“Our doors are always open to assist Boholanos in need,” Boniel said.
